Roxie was on death row when I got her out of Renbury Pound 2004, only half and hour to spare, other wise Roxie would have been put down. Roxie was a very active dog and kept me on my toes at all times. I did herding with Roxie to get some of the energy burnt off. I used to have two leads on her as she would spin around so fast the clips would come undone and off Roxie would go. I started to do Obedience with Roxie but her heeling was not the best. We were entered in the Inter Club Challenge this year and Roxie was in Novice to make up the numbers, so I started to work very hard to get Roxie up to Novice level, we had only done CCD, so it was a big step up Novice. I had Roxie in our club trial in July 09 and we got a pass to my surprise. So I have been working even harder and we now have her CCD title. So next is Novice, a lot more hard work ahead. It just goes to show dogs out of the pounds can be trained, it just may take a bit more time and effort, but it is worth every moment. Go the Koolies.
